You can book with us and find buddies on the Buddy app.

Here’s the short version: you can now find us, book us, and log the dive afterwards without opening your email once. We are unreasonably pleased about this and the crew are extremely tired of hearing about it.

Finding us takes about ten seconds

Open Buddy. Search Cabo Dive from the Discover feed on the home page. Tap the fourth tab along — Business. There we are, boat logo and all.

Open the profile and you get the whole picture: where we are on the map, our hours, our number, the 5 Star PADI Dive Center bit we’re quietly proud of. Then hit View Activities.

Right now that’s Night Diving in Cabo, one tank after dark, and Dive the Corridor, two tanks for certified divers. Both from $140 USD, both fifteen and up. Real dates, real spots, booked from wherever you happen to be standing.

Which is the part we like most. Cabo trips get decided late — somebody on a hotel balcony on a Tuesday night working out that Thursday is a dive day. You shouldn’t have to wait for us to open to find out whether there’s room. There’s room. Look at the app.

(Courses and wildlife trips run too. Those still involve talking to us. We don’t mind talking.)

Then log it. And tag us. Please tag us.

Do it on the ride back in, before the salt dries. Log the dive in Buddy, select the site — Chileno Bay, Santa Maria, the Blow Hole, Gavilanes, Whales Head, and then add Cabo Dive as the business.

Two things happen. You end up with a proper record of the week instead of four hundred near-identical blue photographs. And the dive shows up attached to us in the app, where other divers can see it.

That second one is why we’re so keen. What people believe is somebody’s actual logbook — the real site, the real day, the turtle the size of a coffee table. So tag us. Please :)

While you’re in there, you can add and store all your certification cards

You can load your certifications into the app, and it’s not just a photo of the plastic sitting in your camera roll. You send in the card or the details, the Buddy team checks it with the agency that issued it, and it comes back verified.

Costs nothing. Means you stop turning the hotel room over at seven in the morning looking for your Open Water card, which we have watched people do more times than we can reasonably count.

They are all available when you are offline — this way no matter if you have service or not you are able to show the shop your certification cards, numbers, etc.

Diving on your own? Buddy Radar.

Happens constantly here. One half of a couple dives and the other has strong feelings about boats. Or the friends you came with have all committed to the zip line.

Buddy Radar shows you divers nearby. Read a couple of profiles first — what they’re certified in, what they’ve actually logged — then send a request. Messages only open once somebody accepts, so nobody turns up in your inbox uninvited.

Works here. Works anywhere. Useful in Cabo, genuinely excellent the next time you land somewhere on your own with a regulator in your bag.
